To support the manufacturing of their Eco-Grip flooring systems, Allied partnered with Spark to develop the X-Saw, a custom automated cutting machine designed to improve precision, streamline production, and strengthen their overall manufacturing workflow.

The Challenge
Allied Industries needed an effective way to cut Eco-Grip material directly from the extrusion line without slowing production. Spark was challenged to develop a machine that could follow material movement in real time, adapt to line speed changes, and deliver clean, accurate cuts while protecting output quality and minimizing waste.
The Solution
Spark developed a custom automation solution that addressed both the mechanical and control challenges of Allied's production line. The X-Saw continuously synchronizes with the extrusion process, adapting to changing line speeds while maintaining accurate cut lengths and consistent product quality. Integrated monitoring and controls also provided operators with greater visibility into production, supporting more efficient day-to-day operations.
