Built for Rigidity

The RTR PRO ATC is built around a fully welded frame constructed from laser-cut American steel. Every structural component is precision cut and aligned to maximize rigidity, accuracy, and long-term stability. Heavy-duty 23 mm linear rails provide smooth motion across every axis, while more than 50 integrated mounting locations offer flexibility for fixtures, accessories, and future expansion.

Precision Motion

Every axis is driven by high-performance closed-loop servo motors paired with precision planetary gear reduction for smooth, accurate motion and exceptional positioning repeatability. Rack-and-pinion drives on the X and Y axes deliver high-speed travel without sacrificing accuracy, while the reverse-mounted Z-axis protects critical components from dust and debris. The result is a motion system engineered for demanding production environments.

Automatic Tool Changing Spindle

Developed in partnership with CNC Depot, the RTR PRO ATC features an industrial ISO30 automatic tool changing spindle built for demanding machining applications. A compact design, ABEC 7 dual angular contact bearings, integrated electric fan cooling, and a high-speed 3 HP induction motor provide exceptional cutting performance and reliability. Premium GMN bearings manufactured in Germany help ensure long service life, while final assembly takes place in Tennessee.

Control System

The RTR PRO ATC is powered by PlanetCNC's advanced 9-axis control platform, selected for its powerful feature set, flexibility, and intuitive interface. Every machine includes custom PlanetCNC TNG software configured specifically for Spark's automatic tool changing system, along with a dedicated Windows 11 control laptop. For customers running advanced CAD/CAM software, a high-performance laptop upgrade is also available.

Closed-Loop Servo Technology

Closed-loop servo motors provide the speed, accuracy, and reliability expected from professional CNC equipment. With rapid traverse and cutting feed rates up to 3,000 IPM, the RTR PRO ATC maintains smooth, precise motion while continuously monitoring position to ensure exceptional accuracy during demanding machining operations.

Installation Recommendations

For proper operation and routine maintenance, we recommend leaving a minimum of 24 inches of clearance on both sides of the gantry. This provides adequate access for servicing, cleaning, and loading materials while maximizing operator safety and convenience.
