Our Spark Robotic team looked far and wide in the industry to find a heavy duty linear axial stage (Z axis) that was Made in America, and also satisfied our high standards. After much research, we decided to design, manufacture, and offer our own heavy duty Z axis product. The design we came up with has about 9 inches of z travel, four large heavy duty HG25 linear bearings, and 2 large hardened linear rails.
The body of the z axis is machined in-house out of 1" 6061 aluminum stock and then anodized before it is assembled with a 1605 16mm ballscrew and oversized end bearings.
